General Policies

 

Disabled Guests: Santiago is partially equipped for the needs of its disabled guests.  We have lifts and wide doors to most rooms. We have one Deluxe King Bedroom 101 designed for wheelchair user and less able guests.

Pets: We cannot accept pets (except for guide-dogs).

Cancellation: rooms cancelled later than 18h00 two days prior to arrival will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one night's accommodation. For no-shows guests will be charged to the credit or debit card given at the time of booking for the first nights accommodation.

Tours and transfers cancelled after 48h prior the booked hour will be subject to a cancellation policie and the amount will be charged to the credit or debit card. 

Check in/check out: guests may check in after 15h00 on the day of arrival. Check out is before 12h00 on the day of departure. Failure to do so will entitle the Hotel to charge for an additional night. Charges will be at the Hotel’s current room rates which are available on request.  Price lists for additional items, such as meals and Room Service, are on display and available on request. Guests must pay all outstanding charges on departure. If an outstanding balance is not settled, payment will be taken with the card used to pay for the room.

For any guests wishing to leave early, the rest of the stay will still be charged as per the cancellation policy and no refund will be offered. 

It is possible to receive early check-in, however it is advisable to request it directly to the hotel before the stay. It is also possible to do early check-out, that must be informed to the receptionist during the stay of the clients. These services may have a fee to be applied, depending on each situation. The hotel has a luggage storage available for all the clients that do late check-out, which is free of charge.

Reservations: Guests may book in advance or on arrival. Rooms are subject to availability and the Hotel reserves the right to refuse any booking.

Private parking cost 25€ per day (reservation needed).

The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise all cards prior to arrival. If we are unable to pre-authorise the card for any reason we may take full payment from the card up to 48 HOURS prior to arrival or contact you for alternative card details. Your booking is secured by your credit card details. This then constitutes a contract between you and Santiago de Alfama - Boutique Hotel. 
 
Reservations comprising of 6 or more rooms are deemed to be Group Bookings and as such are required to pay a 25% non refundable deposit at the time of booking with the balance payable 7 days prior to the date of arrival. 

The Hotel reserves the right to refuse a guest entry and accommodation if, on arrival, management reasonably considers that the guest is under the influence of drink or drugs, is unsuitably dressed or is behaving in a threatening, abusive or otherwise unacceptable manner. The Hotel reserves the right to require a guest to leave if he/she is causing a disturbance, annoying other guests or Hotel staff or is behaving in an unacceptable manner. 

Guests shall comply with all reasonable rules and procedures in effect at the Hotel, including but not limited to health and safety and security procedures and statutory requirements as to registration. 

TAXES:  Please note that from 1 January 2019 a city tax of 2€, per person, per night is not included in the total price and should be paid on site. The tax is charged to guests 13 years and older.  It is subject to a maximum of 7€ per guest per stay. 


SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED WITHIN THE HOTEL BEDROOMS AND COMMUNAL AREAS. ANY BREACH OF THIS POLICY WILL AUTOMATICALLY RESULT IN A 300€ MINIMUM CHARGE BEING MADE FROM THE CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD SUPPLIED BY THE GUEST AS SECURITY WHEN THE BOOKING IS MADE.  

Responsibilities:

Guests must report any loss of or damage to their property immediately on discovery to the Hotel’s Reception or other appropriate staff members, and shall make themselves available to assist with any reports made by the hotel to the police. 

Guests shall not enter areas of the hotel which are indicated as being closed to the public.

The Hotel shall not be responsible for death, personal injury, loss or damage to property suffered by a guest in such areas. The Hotel shall not be liable to a guest for any loss or damage to property caused by the misconduct or negligence of a guest, or where the guest remains in exclusive charge of the property concerned. The hotel’s liability for any other loss of or damage to a guest’s property is limited to €50 for any one article or €100 in aggregate, except where, stolen, lost or damaged through the default, neglect act of the hotel.

The hotel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing any of its obligations under this agreement if the failure or delay was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control, including (without limitation) war or threat of war, civil or political action or disturbance, riot, natural disaster, fire, epidemic, bad weather, terrorist activity (threatened or actual), military activity, governmental or regulatory action, industrial dispute, act of god, failure of power or machinery, failure of or interruption in externally provided services and utilities, and all similar events outside the hotel’s control. For the avoidance of doubt, the hotel does not exclude its liability for death or personal injury caused by the hotel’s negligence.

The hotel is not liable for any loss or damage caused to a guest’s vehicle, unless caused by the hotel’s wilful misconduct. Guests will be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury they may cause at the hotel and the Hotel may claim such sums from Debit or Credit Card details supplied at the time of booking or arrival. 

We are a small hotel, so we ask kindly that you respect the other guests that are staying in the hotel.

Please note that if on any occasion you are asked more than once to keep noise levels down, the hotel staff have the right to ask you to leave the premises and €50 will be charged to your card.

Finalidade:
A finalidade do tratamento dos dados fornecidos através deste formulário é a gestão das reservas efetuadas por si, utilizador, e/ou a resposta às questões ou pedidos apresentados.

Fundamento Jurídico:

  • A necessidade de executar o contrato consigo, utilizador, e/ou a necessidade de tomar medidas a seu pedido antes da celebração do contrato;
  • O seu consentimento, enquanto utilizador, ao marcar a caixa de aceitação dos Termos e Condições, dos quais esta Política de Privacidade e Dados Pessoais faz parte integrante.

Duração do Tratamento:
Os dados fornecidos por si, utilizador, serão armazenados pelo tempo necessário à gestão da reserva efetuada, bem como dos serviços de alojamento solicitados. Após a conclusão da gestão, os seus dados serão mantidos por um período de seis (6) meses. Caso tenha consentido em receber informações de marketing e/ou comerciais, os seus dados serão conservados até que retire o seu consentimento.

Subcontratante:
Contratámos o nosso parceiro Guestcentric Group (www.guestcentric.com) para realizar o processamento do sistema de reservas do nosso estabelecimento. A Guestcentric atua sob a nossa autoridade, e assinámos um contrato com o Guestcentric Group para a prestação dos seus serviços. A Guestcentric recebe instruções escritas sobre como deve processar os dados.

Dados de terceiros diferentes do utilizador:
Se nos fornecer dados pessoais relativos a outra pessoa, diferente de si, enquanto utilizador, é responsável por tal ato, incluindo pela obtenção do consentimento respetivo de tais pessoas para a partilha dos seus dados connosco.

Transferência de Dados:
Não transferimos dados pessoais para países terceiros fora do Espaço Económico Europeu (EEE).

Direitos dos Titulares dos Dados:
